"The Disappearance of Sandra Cantu" is an intense crime documentary that explores the high profile abduction and murder of Sandra Cantu, an 8-year old living in Tracy California. When Sandra is found dead in a suitcase, local police and the FBI begin an intense manhunt that reveals a series of shocking twists forcing law enforcement to reconsider their usual criminal profiling techniques. The film focuses on Sandra's sudden disappearance, its grip on the United States for ten turbulent days in April 2009 and the heart-wrenching scars born by Sandra's family and community. Using never before seen archives and interrogation tapes as well as intimate access to Sandra's family, the film examines one of the most shocking murders in US history.
